Welcome at the website of De Douglas Boomkwekerijproducten BV in Wernhout, specialist in plug cultivation. We sow nursery products (broadleaves and conifers), destined for rootstocks, forestry plants, Christmas trees, hedge plants and different other species as young plants.

In 1990 De Douglas changed from the traditional bare root cultivation in open field to cell-grown plants production. The seedling nursery is situated in Wernhout, where the plants are automatically sown in trays and where we put the trays in 5,5 ha foil tunnels and 1 ha glasshouse, divided over two different locations.

The continued cultivation of the cell-grown plants takes place in our Polish company where bigger cell-grown plants (P40) and pots (mainly P9 and 1 liter) are produced. Bigger plants in open field are also produced in our Polish nursery.

Meanwhile our nursery has expended into a company that is active on both national and mainly international markets.
